Semantic Link is one of the greatest Power BI-related features released in Fabric so far. Semantic Link is a feature that allows teams to access Power BI Semantic Models with Python…
in Fabric notebooks. Before its existence, the only way to query a model was with DAX/MDX or by using Power BI or Excel, but with Semantic Link the model and its data are now unlocked!
In this session, we’ll discuss the basics of how to get started with Semantic Link and its brilliant companion, Semantic Link labs, and go over several scenarios in which we can use this magic cauldron, including data science scenarios, data exploration using SQL, admin and governance to provide model documentation, and more! You’ll leave this session with reusable spells to start casting on your models immediately.
Benefits of attending the webinar – If you come from a Power BI background, you’ll see how you can use Semantic Link to both access data and simplify admin tasks. If you come from a Python background, you’ll see how you can combine your knowledge with the expertise of your team’s Power BI developers to eliminate duplication of efforts and speed up insights.

Do you know your way around Power BI Desktop, but don’t know what happens beyond it, or what has to be managed in the Service?
Do you have the privilege, as an IT Admin or Global Administrator, to “also take care of Fabric”?
Did you just receive the responsibility for some, or even all, Fabric Administrator tasks? And what about all the (new) Fabric workloads?
Do you also not know what the Power Platform (management) truly encompasses?
If you answer Yes to any of the questions above, this session is for you!
And did you know a Fabric Premium Capacity is not a switch you turn on and just walk away from. It’s like heating tomato soup in the microwave: if you don’t pay attention, it becomes a mess very quickly.
In this session, we will take a look at tasks and components that can (or should!) be part of a Fabric Admin’s daily routine.
– The changed role of the Fabric Admin
– Tenant settings
– Handling (My) Workspace(s)
– Capacity and Admin Monitoring
– Power Platform Admin Center
I will also show how you can extend the Admin Monitoring semantic model to get a grip on the usage of your Pro licenses.
When you start applying the tips and tricks of this session, you will get a grip on your Fabric tenant and have happier users!

We’ve all seen the standard Fabric demos online; running data from AdventureWorks, WideWorldImporters or NY taxi through Fabric and quickly create wonderful reports.
But, Is this really the amount of data you’re going to process? Can you really tell if Fabric will perform with your data volume?
These were questions I had and I tried to get some kind of answer to them.
It’s time to let your Fabric work!
In this session, I’ll take you along with the steps I took to give Fabric a run for it’s capacity units so you can do this as well. The data I’m using has nothing secretive in it, so you can happily share the results with the entire world. From data ingestion to report (yes, I will bring pain to PowerBI), let’s see how much Fabric can handle. And when you can push it (temporarily) over the edge.
When I’ve finished, you’ll leave with an extra tool in your set to check if your chosen capacity unit is good enough for your production load.
Benefits of attending the webinar – As an attendee, you’ll learn about the differences between the Fabric offerings (Notebooks, Dataflows), how the Capacity Metrics App will help you when you run into trouble and some performance optimalisations Microsoft has made to make your load run faster and more cost effective.

Do you need help with data quality? Do you have duplicate vendors and customers in your sales reports?
Or do you simply need help identifying all the potential GDPR-affected data in your data estate? All these problems come back to a central issue—your organization’s lack of solid data governance. In this session, you will learn how to implement data governance processes in your organization (sneak preview: it’s not an IT problem, exactly) and how you can implement those governance processes in Microsoft Fabric using tools like Purview and Entra security. You will also learn how to push the business into adopting a data governance culture and drive towards data-driven decisions and solutions.
Benefits of attending the webinar –Learn about governance options for Fabric for small and large orgs

Microsoft Fabric is here to transform the way you work with data—but what does that mean for Data Governance?
As a Data Governance Manager, will Fabric make it easier to ensure data remains a strategic asset? As a Data Engineer or Analyst, can it help you build trusted data products? Or are you concerned that Fabric’s ease of use might lead to data chaos instead of clarity?
Don’t worry—there’s hope! In this session, we’ll explore how Microsoft Fabric impacts your data governance framework, how to enforce data privacy regulations, and how to manage metadata effectively to drive responsible and ethical data practices.
Join us to discover how Fabric can empower governance rather than complicate it!
