In SharePoint 2016 the User Profile Sync Service will go away, what remains is Active Directory Import and External Identity Manager. This Session concentrates on how to use the new Microsoft Identity Manager 2016 (or at least the Sync Service) in combination with SharePoint 2016 for User Profile Synchronisation. We will take a look at how to do the initial configuration using PowerShell, create mappings, import profile photos, write back to AD and schedule the synchronisation. We will also talk about the difference between Active Directory Import and using the Microsoft Identity Manager and their pros and cons.
