Purview is a comprehensive set of solutions to help govern, protect & manage data, wherever it lives.

Microsoft has recently extended these capabilities to include Power Platform & Dataverse, folding it into the wider Purview toolkit offering.

This session will give an overview of governance from a unified platform perspective, including:

• Gaining visibility into data across your organization
• Safeguarding and managing sensitive data across its lifecycle, wherever it lives
• Governing data seamlessly in new, comprehensive ways
• Managing critical data risks and regulatory requirements

Audit custom-built AI prompts and responses, detecting business violations

We will look at how Purview logs & manages activity across Power Apps (all types), Power Automate, Power Pages, DLP, Connectors, & Dataverse auditing.
This will include details such as component creation, component launches/runtimes, component sharing, permissions granted/removed from users, Dataverse record editing, etc.

We’ll also cover items such as Data Map, where you can benefit from automated data discovery & sensitive data classification, Insider Risk Management, for detection of intentional & unintentional insider risk activity in genAI apps (Copilot), and the Unified Catalogue, where you can see full data lineage history.

The workshop will include hands-on demonstrations from each use case, along with attendee exercises based on real life scenarios, where they will need to define what to do in order monitor & protect solutions. This will be done through hands-on activities in a test tenant, as well as group discussions & presenting back explanations to the audience.
