The Power Platform has revolutionized how we build low-code applications that drive digital transformation. However, designing scalable, future-proof solutions requires more than a foundational understanding of architecture it demands advanced strategies and the integration of cutting-edge technologies.
This workshop builds upon the principles of traditional architecture while introducing new dimensions that enable you to leverage the platform’s full potential. It is an upgraded version of the “Power Platform Best Practices in Architecture” workshop; however, attending the previous one is not required.
Participants will explore how to harness the power of AI within the Power Platform, gaining insights into designing AI-infused experiences and solutions by integrating AI into apps and automation. The workshop will also guide participants through preparing their data and organization for AI readiness, offering practical strategies for laying the groundwork for successful AI implementation in Power Platform projects. Additionally, it will examine how Copilot and generative AI are transforming solution design, development, and maintenance within the Power Platform ecosystem.
Beyond the AI-focused themes, the workshop will examine architecting solutions that align with enterprise goals while enabling collaboration among solution architects, enterprise architects, and development architects. It will address critical decision points, such as selecting suitable data sources like Dataverse, SharePoint, or Azure SQL and choosing suitable app types, whether Canvas, Model-driven, or Portals, to meet specific needs.
Integration will also be a key focus, with discussions on connecting Power Platform solutions to Azure services and other backend systems using tools such as Azure Functions, APIs, and Service Bus. A particular emphasis will be placed on incorporating Microsoft Fabric into Power Platform architecture.
Participants will learn about designing solutions that read from and write to Fabric Lakehouses and Data Lakes, enabling data flows that bridge low-code applications with enterprise-level data management. This approach supports unified data architecture, scalability, and enhanced analytics capabilities while highlighting Fabric’s role as a foundational element in modern solution architecture.
The workshop will include interactive group and individual design exercises, where participants can apply architectural concepts to real-world scenarios. Through these exercises, participants will engage in collaborative problem-solving, evaluate architectural designs, and gain valuable insights from exemplary and cautionary cases. This strategic and architectural exploration workshop equips participants with the knowledge and frameworks to design innovative, scalable, and AI-ready Power Platform solutions.
