Behind the scenes in Galway: Building the ESPC25 programme

There’s something special about getting together in person to shape what’s going to become an unforgettable conference experience, and this year, that something happened in the beautiful city of Galway.

The ESPC25 Programme Team met on-site to go through hundreds (!) of session submissions. Yes, hundreds. With over 85 community sessions, 10 full day tutorials, and 8 Inspire sessions to plan, this wasn’t just a quick sit-down, but three full days of focused work including playing schedule-Tetris on a very full wall.

We had a strong crew: The Programme Team (Chairs Luise and Maarten, as well as members Chris and Tom), guided by Programme Lead Sarah with support from Aisling, as well as Kevin taking notes constantly. We powered through with an undisclosed (but quite serious) amount of coffee (and yes, some tea too; we are in Ireland, after all).

As we finalized the session slots, the structure of ESPC25 began to take form, and we are incredibly proud of this amazing agenda full of valuable content.

We were excited to see some familiar names in the submissions, but equally thrilled to discover so many new voices. In fact, around 25% of our selected speakers are women, we have over a third of all sessions by speakers who never spoke at ESPC before and it was amazing to see that sessions came in from all over across Europe and beyond.

This year’s program is going to be something special. Expect a strong presence of AI, Security, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform, with lots of fresh perspectives, real-world stories, and new angles on the challenges. We cover a wide range of levels, from thinking strategically at a high level to sessions and hand-on tutorials in the trenches.

Super Early Bird
We had been warned to expect grey skies and rain (classic Irish weather) but Galway had other plans. We were met with blue skies and sunshine, which only made it slightly harder to stay inside and focus on crafting the agenda.

We can’t wait to share the full programme with you at the end of April. What we can say now is this: the content is strong, the community is stronger, and ESPC25 is going to be a conference to remember.

See you in Dublin?
